The infomercial for the Magic Bullet remains one of the most popular infomercials of all time. This is mainly because of its colorful cast of characters, including Hazel, the Magic Bullet’s resident cigarette hag. Many people frankly admit to watching this infomercial over and over, as one blogger put it “I Can’t Get Enough of The Magic Bullet Infomercial.” People keep posting about the Magic Bullet on message boards and writing reviews of the Magic Bullet infomercial.

Now an exciting sequel has arrived with the Magic Bullet To Go. In this Magic Bullet to Go infomercial, Hazel, Berman, Mick and Mimi return and participate in a camping trip and visit the beach. But here is the most shocking moment from the Magic Bullet to Go infomercial:

So the Magic Bullet To Go infomercial gives us Hazel and Berman hooking up! Yuck!!

No doubt this will make the Magic Bullet To Go as popular as the Magic Bullet on blogs, message boards and among TV viewers.

Even a self-described “massagoholic” would not buy the product after seeing that scene in the Hawaii Chair infomercial. Even people in other countries have remarked on just how dumb the Hawaii Chair infomercial is.

Clips from the Hawaii Chair infomercial have even been featured on the TV shows Ellen and Attack of the Show.

After seeing the video of the Hawaii Chair infomercial, many people think the Hawaii Chair must be some sort of joke or prank, but the Hawaii Chair is one piece of exercise equipment that is all too real.

Discussion of the Hawaii Hula Chair infomercial has come up on message boards and people really do have a hard time believing that the Hawaii Hula Chair infomercial reall isn’t some kind of a joke. The Hawaii Chair infomercial will probably go down as one of the all time greats!

The Hawaii Chair infomercial also has two catchy jingles: “Take the work out of your workout…The Hawaii Chair” and “If you can sit, you can get fit…The Hawaii Chair.”

This is an infomercial for a colon cleansing product called Almighty Cleanse and in the infomercial the creator Danny Vierra says that the Bible contains tons of natural health cures!

One blogger has noticed the combination of colon cleansing and scripture in the Almighty Cleanse infomercial and declares, “I Hope They Made Sure God Was on Board With This.”

Another blogger prefers the Klee Irwin Dual Action Cleanse infomercial but still recommends that people check out the Danny Vierra infomercial on TV because the Almighty Cleanse infomercial shows pictures of “a thick, black, rope-like bowel movement.”

There is even a new version of the program being shown on television with Donald Barrett and Chloe Marshall on ITV. See a picture and read a review of the new Almighty Cleanse colon infomercial.

Back in the late 1980s there was a Vietnamese real estate guru named Tom Vu who sold a real estate seminar on TV infomercials. These real estate infomercials were hilarious because Tommy Vu was shamless about showing off hall his mansions, fancy cars, and yachts. But mainly he showed off sexy babes in bikinis!

The Tigers and Cranes blog asks about male asian sex symbols and then as when was the last time you saw an Asian male selling anything, but adds the cavet that Tom Vu doesn’t count. (Wonder why?)

Here is person who is worried that he might be compared to Tom Vu, mainly because he is an Asian man who tells people techniques for making money. (But in his case in photograhy, not real estate property investment.)

Even thought the Tommy Vu get-rich-quick real estate infomercial has not aired in 15 years, he is still a well remembered guru. His name even comes up in non-real estate discussions. On a White Sox baseball message board someone recommends the Tom Vu seminar (tongue-in-cheek) to someone who asks how he can become a millionaire. On another sports website, the author writes about athletes making infomercials and cites the Tom Vu real estate infomercial as an inspiration they can use.

In a discussion about motivational speaking some one brings up Tom Vu whose rags-to-riches story was supposed to be inspirational.

Of course it’s only natural to bring up Tom Vu in discussions about real estate and property investing. Here is a discussion about using a St. Joseph statue as a way to sell a home to which someone comments that “Only <strike>Jesus</strike> Tom Vu can turn property into gold.” Here is a Mississaugua real estate agents who gives up several Tom Vu quotes.

Too many people wrongly assume that Tommy Vu went to prison. In fact Tommy Vu is a top poker player now.

Whenever a discussion of infomercials comes up on a blog or message board lots of people always say that the infomercial for The Magic Bullet is their favorite infomercial of all time. Many people even claimed to have watched it dozens or hundred of times!

The Magic Bullet blender/mixer is different than other infomercials because it has a script and characters, namely Mick and Mimi (the hosts), Hazel, Berman, Ike, Fred, Wilma, (yes, Fred and Wilma) and a blonde who goes unnamed.

Hazel and Berman seem to be everyone’s favorite character. This blog mentions how hilarious chain-smoking Hazel from Magic Bullet is (also see Magic Bullet here).

The “Grow a Brain” blog also mentions Hazel from the Magic Bullet infomercial and her smoking ways.

Blogger Matt Casey includes some video of the Magic Bullet, which he calls his “favorite infomercial of all time.” (This post about the Magic Bullet is also cited here.)

Someone on the Wonderland forum give a link to the Magic Bullet, causing the forum users to trade some of their favorite quotes from the infomercial. (”Come on, Mimi! Every single day?”)

On the Theme Park Review forum, after someone complained about all the infomercials on late night TV, someone else suggested that the Magic Bullet infomercial is always fun to watch.

Read this post about the blonde on the Magic Bullet infomercial who is amazed at everything and looks like she’s trying to be Mimi’s twin.

Late nights on the Spike TV cable network are dominated by two infomercials: Girls Gone Wild and Extenze.

The Extenze infomercial is the funnier one. Extenze are pill that are supposed to make a man’s penis grow larger. They never say the word “penis” and they just say they sell “male enhancement” pills.

The first version of the Extenze infomercial starred porn star Ron Jeremy interviewing porn stars. (Ron Jeremy later endorsed a product called VigRX, so it’s hard to know which product he really recommends.)

I suspect that people who like porno movies would prefer the Ron Jeremy version of the Extenze infomercial.

Now there is a different version of the Extenze infomercial being broadcast. It is hosted by a model/actress named Bridgetta Tomarchio and some guy named Frank. Watch this video of the new Extenze infomercial.

The hostess Bridgetta does not give her last name on the Extenze infomercial, which prompted a lot of people to try to figure out the identity of the Extenze girl. And even speculate if the new Extenze hostess was a porn star because the older Extenze infomercial featured porn stars Kim Chambers, Scott Styles, Ruby, and Chantz Fortune.

Here’s a blog that claims the Extenze infomercial is a “total crock of shit” and “the funniest infomercial I have ever seen.”

Welcome to my new blog. This blog is written by an infomercial watching fanatic for other infomercial fanatics. If you’ve ever lost sleep because you were too busy watching late night infomercials or if you’ve ever thought an infomercial was better programing than most of the other things on TV, then this is the place for you!

A couple of sites I would recommend for people like us would be the Ridiculous Infomercial Review (the getrichslowlyblog has a very good post about The Ridiculous Infomercial Review) and Advertising archives at growabrain.

I love watching TV infomercials and I also love it when people write about the subject of their favorite infomercials.

On the Treadless T-Shirt blog, they asked if anyone had ever bought an infomercial product. People chimed in with everything from Jack LaLanne Power Juicer to Girls Gone Wild to Magic Bullet to the Clapper.

The blogger at The Stife Life lists some of his favorite Crazy Infomercials including Dr Ho, Rejuvenique, and Santo Gold.

You never know when infomercials might get mentioned. On a Team Marine Depot blog post about fish aquariums, infomercials get mentioned when they want to emphasize how great their deals are by using that cliche infomercial phrase, “But wait … there’s more!”
